Swing Speed Training: “Scholar/Practitioner”
I have extensive knowledge in the evidence base and practice of training for golf swing speed. Many players are interested in adding distance in addition to improving their on course mental performance. There are critical mental components to developing and using speed gains. Integrating the physical and mental aspects of this process is a fruitful and often interesting experience for players. I always collaborate with instructors and strength & conditioning coaches to work together to actualize each player’s goals.
Moreover, I remain a competitive golfer myself and have added over 40 yards of length in the past 5 years at 51 years old. That is NOT a typo. Please see my videos in the media section for more information and illustration. I increased my clubspeed from ~100 to a maximum of 115.6 mph. To put this in context, if i started out “average distance on tour”, the PERCENT increase I achieved would catapult me into the #1 position in average club speed (114 X 1.156 = 130.6 | https://www.pgatour.com/stats/detail/02401)
